Why NORA exists.
"In my family, reproductive healthcare is remembered through stories that linger, stories of being ignored, turned away, or spoken over in moments that mattered most. Several of the women before me, including my great grandmother Ellenora, endured the violence of the eugenics era through forced sterilization, their choices taken and their voices silenced.
These histories are not distant; they shape how care is experienced across generations. Black women reclaiming the technologies that have so often left us behind to build something better, creating not only change for ourselves but expanding what care can look like so that all women are seen, supported, and truly cared for."
